Scary afternoon
I’ve given my site a week or so to ”bake’ after the last incident of losing some postings. I’d like to know who has the time and/or inclination to go around destroying others’ sites? Argh…
Anyway, a severe storm watch was on for the Dallas metroplex today - warnings are not unusual, but today, the weather channels reported seeing actual wall clouds and rotation - indicating possible tornados - all coming toward us!
I can remember when I was a kid in the Chicago area when storms would start - my mom would stare at the sky, with me and my sister shuttled away in the basement with AM radio blasting in the background. Today, the tools and forecasting have definately improved but these things are still as scary.
Today, I was ready in case I needed to hide away. I had Buzz in his bag, my emergency box ready, and was ready to close the door on the ’safe room’…til the storm decided to start to fall apart and head north…just a few miles west of us. Whew - is all I could say.
